13 faults of inline centrifugal pump and its treatments
1.Before the centrifugal pump starts, the water is insufficient or the vacuum pump has not exhausted the air in the pump. Extend the filling time, increase the filling volume, and continue to pump air with a vacuum pump. If the water diversion is still not full and the air is not clean, check whether the air inlet pipe is leaking, whether the bottom valve is rusty, and whether the stuffing box is leaking. Then, repair or replace the detected problems separately.
2.The assembly head of the centrifugal pump exceeds the rated head of the pump. Appropriately reduce the installation height of the pump (referring to the vertical distance between the centerline of the pump shaft and the moving water level of the well) or shorten the length of the suction pipe, and appropriately increase the diameter of the suction pipe (the diameter of the suction pipe is generally larger than the diameter of the pump inlet) Level one) to reduce the assembly head of the pump and increase the suction height of the pump.
3. The air inlet pipe of the centrifugal pump leaks, resulting in leaky sealing, water diversion not full, and residual air. Use the light method to check, if there is a leak at the pipe wall, repair the blockage; if a leak at the interface, use a wrench to tighten or replace the pad.
4.The centrifugal pump impeller reverses. The direction of rotation of the water pump can be changed by changing the direction of rotation of the power machine. If the motor is used as the power, the motor wiring phase sequence should be adjusted to change the steering of the motor; if the internal combustion engine is used as the power, the method of cross-drive belt transmission should be adopted for adjustment.
5. The suction pipe of the centrifugal pump is not sufficiently immersed in water. First measure the immersion depth of the suction pipe of the centrifugal pump. If the immersion is too shallow, measures such as reducing the installation height of the pump or increasing the length of the suction pipe of the centrifugal pump should be taken to ensure that the depth of the pump's suction pipe submerged below the water surface is not less than 0.5 meters.
6. The inlet of the centrifugal pump or the flow pass of the impeller are blocked. First stop to check the specific blockage site, and then remove the blockage. Finally, according to the type of blockage (sand, debris, etc.), you can wash wells (recommended with air compressors or other equipment), set up pollution barriers measures to improve the quality of incoming water and prevent blockages.

7. The bottom valve of the centrifugal pump cannot be opened flexibly or rusts, causing the bottom valve to fail to open or close tightly. If this happens, stop first. Then lift the pump's faucet to the ground, remove the bottom valve for inspection, and repair or replace it according to the actual situation.
8. The suction of the centrifugal pump is too large. Reduce the installation height of the pump properly or try to reduce the water pressure loss (such as the use of smooth inlet and drain pipes).
9. The impeller of the centrifugal pump is seriously damaged. Disassemble the water pump and remove the impeller for inspection. If the impeller is not severely damaged (wear, cavitation), repair it; if the impeller is severely damaged, replace it with a new one.
10. Leakage at the stuffing box of the centrifugal pump, resulting in a leaky seal. First tighten the stuffing box gland with a tool. If the fault cannot be ruled out, the stuffing box must be disassembled, and the water seal ring and the packing should be inspected for defects (the water seal ring is twisted, deformed, the packing is stiff, deformed, etc.), and repaired or replaced if necessary.
11. The impeller fixing nut and key of the centrifugal pump are loose or come out. Open the pump body, check the positioning key of the impeller and the lock nut. If the key comes out or is damaged, reset the positioning key or repair it first, replace the positioning key, and then reset. If the impeller lock nut loosens or falls off, the lock nut should be matched first, and then the impeller lock nut should be tightened with a tool.
12. The speed of the centrifugal pump is too low. First increase the speed of the power machine to meet the rated speed of the centrifugal pump. If the power engine is an electric motor, you should first check whether the power supply voltage is too low. If it is too low, try to increase it. If it is normal, replace the motor with a higher power. if it can not meet the rated speed of the pump, you should replace the internal combustion engine with a larger power. Secondly, replace the drive wheel of the power machine or water pump to meet the rated speed of the water pump.
13.The resistance of the drainage pipe of the centrifugal pump is too large. First check the length and bend of the drainage pipe, minimize the length of the bend and pipe, and choose a pipe with the same diameter.
