The cavitation in centrifugal pump is mainly caused by the high temperature of the pump inlet fluid and the pressure is too low, causing the liquid in the pump to vaporize and impact the impeller.
1. pump inlet temperature is too high, the opening of vaporization and circulating cooling water is small, can not play the role of cooling
2. The inlet level is too low.
3. The inlet line is blocked.
4. There is a leak point in the suction line.
Approach:
1. Reduce the pump inlet temperature and adjust the opening of circulating cooling water
2. adjust the inlet liquid level to the normal range
3. dredge the inlet pipe
4. handling suction line leakage point
5. cleaning inlet filter
